Hi All!
I did get to do some more hew yesterday, but not as much as I'd've liked to. More coordinating people, assigning new logs, laying out what to hew, helping with joinery decisions, giving hints to the new students and make assurances that yes- even after you figure out how to hew and can do it quite well, there is a certain amount of grind involved.
On Friday evening we had a direct hit from a thunderstorm. This was bound to happen, since we had been dodging them for the last two weeks. During the daytime at least. There have been some spectacular Thunderstorms at night.
A wholly different noise was released last evening, when I joined our host Adam for a motorcycle ride heading southeast out of Sanok. There are some nice rolling hills and beautiful mixed wood forests. Adam loaned me a straight piped Honda Valkyrie, a slow but huge huuge motorcycle! What a treat. We're about to head out again in a few minutes. So I'll find some pictures and be off!
All the best!
